S. Araba Lawson is an author, mythographer, and cultural researcher whose work explores African mythologies, literary tradition, and contemporary narrative fiction. Her writing explores what it means to inherit cosmologies that have been suppressed, fragmented, or misread, and what it takes to carry them forward as living systems of meaning.

Lawson writes fiction and non-fiction across myth, memory, spirituality, technology, futurity, and the unseen. Her work engages African and Afro-diasporic traditions as living intellectual and narrative systems: ways of understanding power, personhood, ancestry, nature, morality, reality, and the worlds imagined around them.

Lawson also writes fantasy, science fiction, and other forms of imaginative literature.
